Faster Horses Festival, one of Michigan’s most popular country music events, will not take place in 2025, according to an announcement from organizers on Jan. 31. The festival, typically held at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, is known for drawing thousands of country music fans from across the Midwest each summer.

A statement released on social media and the festival’s official website at 5 p.m. confirmed the decision:

“Dear Fans – We have made the decision to pause Faster Horses Festival in 2025. We are taking the year to make plans for a bigger and better Faster Horses for our fans who deserve the absolute best. We love our friends at Michigan International Speedway, the community, and all of those behind the scenes. While we hope to bring you something in the future, for now, we encourage you to keep the community strong and support live music in Michigan!”

While organizers have framed the pause as a chance to improve the festival, the decision comes as a surprise. As recently as Friday afternoon, the event’s website was still advertising that 2025 details were “coming soon.” No further explanation has been provided regarding why the festival will not be held next year or what specific changes are being planned.

Faster Horses has been a Michigan summer tradition for over a decade, featuring top country artists such as Morgan Wallen, Luke Bryan, and Miranda Lambert. The festival is known for its lively atmosphere, with camping, tailgating, and a dedicated fan base that returns year after year.

As of now, it remains unclear whether Faster Horses will return in 2026 or beyond. Organizers have not given a timeline for future announcements. Fans and industry insiders will be watching closely for updates on the festival’s fate.
